CTSC's Annual General Meeting took place on 13th January at the WSTS Suite, Mend-A-Hose Jungle, and was followed by an introduction to the Tigers' new signings for 2015.

During the AGM, Paul delivered a review of 2014...

It was a very eventful and enjoyable year, fitting for our 10th Anniversary. We managed for the first time to get sponsors for all our 2014 events and we set a target of 500 members which we achieved in September.

On the negative side we vacated the Supporters bar at the railway end after 7 years, agreeing with the club that increased sponsorship money for bar was beneficial to the club. We then set up base in the Tiger bar, this did have an effect on our 'Guess the Score' revenue, which decreased. What impact the move will have on membership we will know this year.

Our events in the WSTS suite have been well attended and feedback from attendees has been good. Club directors, coaches and players have supported us tremendously and we thank them for that. We have formed a great relationship with Daryl and the team, something the CTSC and Daryl know is beneficial to both us and the club.

We never forget the past and forged a good relationship with Castleford players Association and have at least 1 event where we invite ex-players.

Our event highlights were the Player Of The Year awards and the 10th Anniversary dinner, which we will repeat this year.

Once again we have consulted with Daryl on ideas for our donations to maximise the benefit to all players in all age groups, this is something with your agreement we want to continue.

Other achievements this year were helping three sponsors distribute 6000 Wembley car stickers, with the CTSC logo on them all, radio interviews with radio Leeds and a full committee appearance on BBC Look North in the Wembley week build up. Rob Fields proudly represented the club carrying the Tigers flag in the pre match entertainment at the Wembley final and a seasons review appeared in the 40-20 magazine.

The CTSC committee also attended the 5 Towns Park tour of the area, collected letters of support and meeting and talking to Cas fans from the area.

The CTSC committee also attended Supporters direct meetings in Rochdale, Huddersfield and Hunslet, talking to other teams fans and promoting the club.

Our social media sites on Facebook (5500) and Twitter (1700) continue to grow and our goal is to convert these followers to members, but even if we cannot we believe that it is great promotion for the club. Our website has not operated well and we will look to improve this in 2015.

We have a good relationship with the media and we recently had ¾ of the second to last page of the Pontefract and Castleford express getting more paper space than Featherstone Rovers.

For the future, we are well on the way to getting 12 different sponsors for our 2015 events, with other sponsorship opportunities available for the Race Night, Player Of The Year Night and our November dinner dance. Please see the committee for details.

Our 2015 events have already been published and we hope you will attend as many as you can. Also we are securing benefits (with local businesses) for CTSC members.. details out soon.

We continue to base ourselves in the Tiger Bar, running the 'Guess The Score' competition. Please come and see us for a pre- or after match chat.

This year for the first time we are setting up a PayPal account so people can join us and get the membership card posted to them - ideal for long distance fans of which we have quite a few.

On your behalf, I would like to thank the following 2014 Committee Members who are not seeking re-election for 2015: Liam McNally, John Hughes, Jane Fields, Rob Fields and Bob White. Thanks for your time and efforts.

Also a big thanks to Tracey Corbett who helps us at our events and Stuart Lake who produces our fantastic posters and helps us with the website. Thanks.

I would like to thank fellow members of the committee, who worked very hard in 2014,. You can be proud of what we achieved. The donations made to Castleford Tigers since 2004 now stands at £60,397.68

Lastly, and most of all I would like to thank all the members and sponsors for the loyal support you all gave us in 2014. I hope you enjoyed our 10th year... we certainly did!

Here's to 2015...!!
