50 years ago today 17th May 1969, at Wembley Stadiun, London, Castleford RLFC played Salford in the Challenge Cup  Final. Cas would emerge victors and win the cup  for the second time, the first being in 1935.

Cas beat Salford 11 - 6 in the Challenge Cup final.
